Massage Monday 2-21-11: Thai Chop

I usually use Thai Chop at the end of Thai Massage or Chair Massage to energize and wake up the body and shift the energy. There are two ways of doing this. Prepare by loosening your wrists.

One way is to put the hands together with thumbs crossed and start chopping. The other way is to open the hands and start chopping one hand at a time. You can chop all over the body especially in standing or laying position. Stay on muscles and avoid bones because it hurts. To increase the strength, chop faster and with bigger swings. To reduce the strength, chop slower and with smaller swings. The key is to use loose wrists because you are using the wait and momentum of the wrists to give the strength. Have fun Thai chopping away your partner.

Happy Massaging!
