I’m going to show you how to massage your own feet using Reflexology information. Reflexology dates back to Ancient Egypt as you can see in this pictograph. This is dated more than 4,000 years ago. It’s amazing to see that it has been around for such a long time. I think it means it works and it’s good for you.
Let’s warm up the foot. Grab the foot, put your fingers between the toes anc circle three times in one direction and three times in the other direction. Make a fist and glide down the sole. Grab the foot and using your thumbs rub all over the foot.
I’m going to focus on the toes today. The big toe represents head and brain. Right in the middle is a point for Pituitary gland which is the master gland important for hormone production. Press this point with your hooked thumb or index finger joint if you have a long fingernail. Base of the big toe represents neck, throat, and thyroid gland. You can massage it by rolling it between your fingers or press with your thumb.
All the other toes represent sinuses. Again you can roll them between your fingers or press with your thumb. The base of the second and third toes represents eyes. The base of the fourth and fifth toes represents ears.
Next week I’ll focus on the ball of the foot which represents chest area.
Happy Massaging!
