Massage Monday 1-30-12: How to get rid of muscle pain (best remedy for me at least)
Athletes and weekend warriors, when you work out a lot you know you will be suffering from muscle pain. This week I’ll show you the best remedy for muscle pain that has been working for me for years.
It’s the lactic acid build up that causes the muscles to ache after workout. You need to get rid of those toxins out of your system to feel better. As you may know massage is a great way to get rid of those toxins. What I’m going to share complements other muscle pain relief remedies such as massage and soaking in a hot tub.
My solution is Calcium Lactate and a glass of regular milk. It’s not Calcium Citrate. It’s Calcium Lactate. I learned this from my friend who used to be a professional tennis player. I take about 15 of these capsules at a time with a glass of milk. Not water, not soy milk, regular milk from a cow. I don’t know the science behind it but for some reason this combination of calcium lactate and regular milk helps to get rid of the lactic acid build up from your muscles and you will not suffer from muscle pain the following day.
Even if you’re not lactose intolerant, you may see a sign of detox called diarrhea which is not fun but it’s a good sign because it means your body is getting rid of the toxins. Make sure you hydrate yourself especially if you go through this detox process. Again this is just something that has worked for me for years. I’m not claiming anything here.
