What is Lypossage?
There are hundreds of modalities for bodywork: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Shiatsu, Thai Massage, Trigger Point, CranioSacral and the list goes on. Today I’m going to introduce a modality called Lypossage.
What is Lypossage? Lypossage is a natural body contouring modality for detoxifying and anti-aging that’s based on research. Fat is good and necessary for your body but it’s the clumps of fat under the skin known as cellulite that cause the cottage cheese or orange peel look that we, especially women, don’t like.
Lypossage uses techniques such as Myofascial Release to loosen the fascia at different levels. “Fascia” is the webbing of the connective tissues that bind your body. And Lymphatic Drainage to drain the unwanted fat cells out of your body and detox. Lypossage is not a weight loss program. It helps you to achieve inch loss and smoother appearance of your skin without invasive procedures.
There are three zones in Lypossage:
– Zone 1 targets hips, thighs (inner, outer, front and back) and abdomen.
– Zone 2 targets back, chest and arms.
– Zone 3 targets head, face, and neck.
Natural facelift in Zone 3 is very relaxing but Zone 1 and 2 are more invigorating than relaxing.
It’s a series of 18 sessions over 6-9 weeks with minimum 2 sessions per week. Each session is about 30 minutes. Cellulite and excess fat didn’t develop overnight. It takes body time to re-train and assimilate the changes just like exercising. Aerobic exercise is encouraged but not required in case you cannot or will not exercise for whatever the reason.
The bonus side effects of Lypossage include reduction in pain and improved posture that are caused by the tight restricted fascia. Also, a boost in the self-image and self-confidence because you look better and feel better also from detoxification.
Lypossage can only be performed by a Certified Lypossage Therapist and I am certified. I will be officially launching this service soon. I am currently working on several people and we are seeing definite improvement on the skin tone and inch loss. My clients are excited and so am I. The price is $1,895 for one zone and I will be having specials on my monthly newsletter which you can sign up from my website: bliss2massage.com.
I got interested in Lypossage because I have cellulite that can go away. I am now waiting for my friend therapist to get certified so she can work on me because I just can’t do it myself.
