This week I’m going to try this inflatable neck stretcher. When I first saw this on Facebook ad, I thought what a funny looking gimmick and I didn’t look any further. The second time I saw the same ad though, I was having some neck pain and neck traction sounded so good and caught my attention. So this time Facebook ad worked. But I always research outside of Facebook like on Amazon and I did find something equivalent cheaper.
Inflatable Neck Stretcher on Amazon
I got this one by JDOHS based on the price and the reviews. It came in a plastic bag with an instruction sheet. It’s basically three air compartments covered with a soft material. The sheet doesn’t say this but let’s connect the tube to the pump because it’s pretty obvious. Let’s try this.
Step 1: Wear the air neck traction with the assistance of mirror, adjust the size of the neck wrap, fasten two Velcro
Step 2: Rolling the controlling valve to the top to ensure smooth inflation
Step 3: Tighten the screw of the air ball to prevent the leakage when inflation
Step 4: Pump the traction with air ball to the extent when user feel suitable
Their English is more broken than my English but it’s understandable.
On the Amazon product page it also says:
• The unit may be used 20-30 minutes for medium and minor traction, and 1-3 minutes for more advanced needs.
• Begin gently with light and partial inflation, then move on to full inflation if comfortable. Treatment should occur 2-3 times daily for 10-20 days.
After 100 pumps, now I’m starting to feel.
I’m very comfortable with hard pressure so I’m going to make this very inflated. As I’m inflating, the tube is only expanding upwards and not inwards so there is no choking feeling.
Step 5: Rolling the controlling valve to the bottom to prevent leakage
Step 6: Enjoy the comfort
Ok I think this is enough. I can barely talk. This reminds me of long neck tribe in Thailand and with a chipmunk face. Since I can’t really talk so I’m just going to meditate for like 3 minutes.
• After use, open the ball valve and loosen the deflation valve gradually, letting air out slowly. Do not squeeze the device.
You don’t have to deflate all the way unless you are packing it to go or for storage. As the instruction said, I am going to try 2-3 times 10-20 days. So I’m going to leave some air so I don’t have to pump from scratch every time I use this.
Oh I can feel the blood rushing through the neck. Maybe I did it too tight? I don’t know but my neck feels stretched and good. At least, I’m aware of my posture.
From the one time use, I liked how my neck feels. And I also like the portability. It’s so light and packable.
