This week I will show you a simple leg exercise to help lower blood sugar level.
Last week I showed you an acupressure point that this Japanese body worker is using to treat his clients with diabetes. This week I will show you a simple leg exercise that he has that also helps to lower the blood sugar level.
Sit on the floor in front of the mirror ｗith your soles together and lower the knees towards the floor. Observe the knee levels between the left knee and the right knee.
According to him, if you have diabetes or pre-diabetes, the left knee is higher because the left hip joint is tighter.
To loosen the left hip joint, lie face down on the floor. You can turn your head to either side that’s comfortable.
Bend your elbows lightly and put the palms down by your head.
Straighten your legs in the center. Keep the right leg in the center and open the left leg 45 degrees to the side.
Keep the leg straight and lift the left foot 2 inches or 5 cm off the floor, hold for 3 seconds, then relax and drop it on the floor.
Rest and take 2 or 3 breaths.
Repeat lifting up the entire left leg off the floor, hold for 3 seconds and drop.
Take 2 or 3 breaths.
Repeat again for the third time. Keep the leg straight. Lift the left foot 2 inches or 5 cm for 3 seconds, and drop.
Take 2 or 3 breaths.
That’s one set. Repeat this 1-3 sets everyday. So that’s 3-9 times of lifting everyday. Do this for at least a week or until you see a change.
If you do this in conjunction with the acupressure point exercise that I showed last week, it will help you lower your blood sugar level even more.
When you lift, don’t bend your knee. Lift the entire leg.
If it’s too difficult to hold it up for 3 seconds, start with 1 second and gradually increase.
He had a client who saw the result as fast as overnight, while other clients saw the results over 1 week to 3 weeks.
I didn’t have anyone to check my 45 degrees or the height off the floor for this video so I just guessed it. But it’s better to have someone check these when you start practicing this exercise.
