Per viewer’s request and my own request, this week I will show you massage to get rid of your frown lines.
We will be focusing on these eyebrow muscles corrugator supercilii and procerus muscle, both of which create the frown lines by bringing the eyebrows closer when they are contracted. So if you have a habit of contracting these muscles, let’s release them so the lines don’t get stuck.
Lift up the forehead and massage the bridge of your nose sideways 10 times. You are not rubbing over the skin. Your finger’s contact on the skin stays and you are moving the skin over the muscle.
Hold the forehead and massage five spots around the procerus muscles. Again, you are not rubbing over the skin. You are moving the skin over the muscles underneath. And finish with massaging the third eye between the eyebrows.
Pinch the inner end of the eyebrow and move up and down, then side to side, then make circles. Repeat on two more spots on the inner half of the eyebrow.
Repeat on the left side. Move the inner end up and down, side to side, then make circles.
Besides massaging, you need to hydrate from the inside and outside because dryness can worsen the lines on your face. Let’s look at other causes. If you frown often because you are not seeing well, enlarge the texts or enhance your vision. If you frown often because it’s too bright, wear shades or go under the shade. If you frown often because you are feeling down, put a smile on your face even if it’s fake. Your brain produces happy hormone just from a smiley face and it’s hard to frown and smile at the same time.
