How to Get Rid of Cellulite on Stomach (Massage Monday #584)

One of the things I’ve decided to tackle this year is my cellulite which I see more and more of on my thigh, buttocks and my belly.

Especially over the holidays I let myself go a little bit. So I want to get rid of the unwanted muffin top. This week I will show you how to get rid of cellulite on your belly using a massage technique called skin rolling which I’ve learned in Lypossage™.

Lypossage™ is a massage technique targeting to reduce the presence and appearance of the bumpy cellulite. It improves the muscle tone and skin tone on different parts of the body using lymphatic system and circulatory system. It’s very effective if you go through the series. But it’s impossible to do the whole sequence on thighs, buttocks and back yourself, but the belly area is doable. I’ve modified it a little bit so you can do it yourself.

Skin rolling is a massage technique to pinch the skin and roll using the fingers and thumb to create a moving wave. You can push away from you or pull towards you.

You will be breaking and smoothing the cellulite under the skin and drain it using lymph drainage.

For the belly, first gently press up the lymph nodes in your groin five to ten times to clear. There is a cluster of lymph nodes here and you will be draining the lymph below the belly button towards these lymph nodes.

Let me lower my pants to a personal legal limit.

Apply your favorite cellulite cream. I happen to have the Eminence Stone Crop Contouring Body Cream so I’ll be using this.

Draw three imaginary lines down on your belly between the belly button and the side of your body. We will do three depths of skin rolling on these lines.

Pinch the skin and lightly skin roll down over the three lines. I go little further without the pants but I will stop right here on the video.

Pinch and skin roll down firmer on those three lines.

Pinch and skin roll down even firmer on the three lines. Firm but not bruising hard.

Let’s do it on the other side.

Pinch and skin roll lightly on the three lines.

Pinch and skin roll firmer on the three lines.

Pinch and skin roll even firmer on the three lines.

Then, make ten circles in a clockwise direction. This helps with the digestion too.

The good thing is you can do this over the clothes while watching TV.

Don’t do this if you have a skin problem. Don’t over-do it to bruise yourself.

Do this once is a good start but it won’t do anything. I take it back. I’ve seen the skin tone improved in just one session because of the improved circulation. But for the cellulite, do this three times a week for six weeks. The real Lypossage™ is a series of 18 sessions over 4-8 weeks.

While you are at it, you might as well stop eating things that can turn into cellulite.
