Hand Massage for Eye Floaters

This week I will share a massage for eye floaters.

Hi everyone, I am Yasuko and it’s time for Massage Monday. Per viewer’s request, this week I will share hand massage for eye floaters. Eye floaters can be a sign of age or more serious conditions such as retinal tear that can lead to retinal detachment and blindness and so please go see an eye doctor.

I could not find much that’s specific to eye floaters but I found this hand therapist in Japan who was demonstrating how to massage the reflexes for eye floaters. And I saw some comments that are promising so I will demonstrate it. Again please do this if you know your eye floaters are not caused by serious medical conditions. This is also good for aging eyes and improving the eyesight.

The reflexes for your eyes are next to the base of the nail on the index and middle finger on both hands. The reflexes on the fingertips are for the other side of your body so the left fingertips are for the right eye and the right fingertips are for the left eye.

Pinch the base of the index finger nail with the other thumb and index finger and press seven times. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. Repeat on the middle finger. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. Repeat on the other hand. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. You may find either fingertip more painful than the other. 4, 5, 6, 7.

The floaters can be caused by stagnant lymphatic flow in the neck area. We will stimulate the reflex for the lymph in neck area which is located on the back of your hand between the finger bones.

Put the hand on a stable surface like a table or your lap. Using your fingers, firmly press and glide the area between the bones starting by the web of the finger. Move down and repeat. You’re not gliding over the skin which can be very shallow. Move down to where you can go and repeat. Repeat in the other hand. The contact points stay as you move over the reflex.

Lastly, the reflex for the neck itself in case the floaters are caused by neck issues. The reflex for the neck is at the base of the nail outside of your thumbs.

Hold the inside with the index finger and press the outside with the other thumb 7 times. She was pressing one per second so total of 7 seconds on each location.

Repeat on the other side.

Do this 3-5 sets a day.
