How To Get Cheap Massage
Happy 2015! I can’t believe it’s already January 5th. I started working on January 2nd and in the last three days I gave 12 massages, which is a good pace for me because I don’t want to do more than four massages a day. So I started looking where to get my massage. As I mentioned in my last Massage Monday I miserably failed to achieve my massage goal which was to get one massage for 10 massages I give. Instead I received one massage for like 30 massages I gave. Luckily I’ve been very healthy knock on wood but this year I have this weird feeling that if I don’t take care of myself something will break down. So this year I’m shooting to get one massage for 20 massages I give.
I’m also going to try something new. I started looking and I happen to have this class schedule from my massage school Healing Hands which is a great school and in the back of this I found this. It says “Need a massage?” Come to our Student Clinic. Buy one get one FREE!! Two massages for $45.” So I’m like “Really?!” I confirmed on their website that it is two 60-minute massages for $45 which comes down to $22.50 each. It’s a great deal. It’s by far the cheapest you can find in this area. It’s even cheaper than the Chinese foot massage place that I go to.
I contacted them because they didn’t have this program when I was still a student. It turned out they’ve been doing this for about two years and they are now requiring the students in Holistic Health Practitioner or HHP program which is their 1,000 hour program to do 20 hours of Student Clinic. I think it’s a great idea. And I am so glad I called them because they are really in need of bodies for the students to work on, so much so that they’re giving free massages to the graduates the next two weeks!! Woo Hoo!! I booked my first free massage with them this afternoon so I’ll share my experience later.
If you want very inexpensive massages, I suggest you look for massage schools in your area and contact them and see if they offer student clinic or they’re looking for bodies for their students to work on. If you are in Orange County or San Diego County in California, contact Healing Hands School and you will help the future massage therapists.
I wish you the best in 2015. Whether you dream big or small, take baby steps to make it real!
Happy Massaging!
