Aromatherapy for Menstrual Cramps

Some time ago I did acupressure points for menstrual cramps. When necessary I also use aromatherapy for menstrual cramps. This week I’m going to share the oil blend that I use for my menstrual cramps.

Here is the oil. It’s in this little bottle with no label because my dear friend made it for me and it’s not sold. But it has a mixture of clary sage, tarragon, and basil mixed in with a carrier oil. When I need the help I put few drops in my hand and rub it under the belly button. I’m always amazed how quickly it takes away the cramps. I feel the relief almost instantly.

The only thing is it doesn’t last for hours like drugs do but this is more natural and safer than drugs. Also my belly smells like an Italian dish because sage, tarragon and basil, they are often found in Italian dishes but it works.

Don’t underestimate the power of essential oils because they can be toxic if you don’t use it right. I am fortunate and grateful to have a dear friend who is a certified Aromatologist. She has studied medicinal use of essential oils extensively and makes these oils for me using the highest grade essential oils for me. She even has her own aromatherapy school in Japan approved by the association. So she is my go to person if I have any questions about aromatherapy or essential oils.
