This week let’s do a head massage for a sharper jawline.
Hello beautiful souls. I am Yasuko and it’s time for Massage Monday. This week, for a sharper jawline, let’s massage the back of the head.
When the occipital muscle in the back of your head is tight, it can weigh down on your jawline.
I’m going to use the flat part of my fist. Make circles or go up and down or side to side to massage the back of your head. The goal is to cover the entire occipital muscle. Instead of moving the arms, just move the fists to save your arms.
You can use your fingers for more detailed massage.
Massaging the back of the head improves the circulation to your head so it’s beneficial for head functions, tension headaches, eyesight, and hair growth.
You might as well massage the bottom of the skull too which is the attachment site for neck and shoulder muscles. Usually, this area is very tight.
Let’s add the facial massage too for the jawline. Lubricate the jawlines and neck because you will be gliding over them. Make peace signs and bend them. Sandwich the jawline with the flat part of the fingers and glide them from the chin to the ear on the opposite side. Do it 3-5 times. Then with the side of your hooked index finger, lightly glide down the neck muscle that’s visible when you turn your head 3-5 times.
Repeat on the other side. Glide them from the chin to the ear on the opposite side 3-5 times. Then with the side of your hooked index finger, lightly glide down the neck muscle 3-5 times.
Finish with lightly caressing from the ear to the clavicle on both sides for the lymph drainage.
Thanks for watching. I’ll see you back next week. Make it a great week. Feel free to comment below and please don’t forget to subscribe and click on the notification bell.
