Acupressure Points for Urinary Tract Infection/UTI (Massage Monday #591)

Per viewer’s request, this week I will show the acupressure points for Urinary Tract Infections or UTI. Press these points for one minute as you breathe deeply.

Liver 2 (LV 2/行間) The first one is on the web between the big toe and the second toe where the color changes. This is called Liver 2.

Kidney 3 (KD 3/太谿) The second one is between the outer ankle bone and the Achilles tendon. This is called Kidney 3. You can stimulate this point by pinching over the Achilles tendon.

Spleen 9 (SP 9/陰陵泉)The third one is four fingers below the knee under the bone on the inside. It’s easier to find if you go up from the inner ankle bone toward the knee along the edge of the bone and it’s where the finger naturally stops in the depression. This is called Spleen 9.

You can do one side at a time or both sides at the same time. Do this every day especially if you have a tendency to have recurring UTI on a regular basis.
