Per viewer’s request this week I’ll show you some acupressure points for excessive sweating also known as hyperhidrosis. Press these points for one minute as you breathe deeply. Press with a hooked thumb or the pad of the thumb if you have a long fingernail. When you are done with one side, switch hands and do the other side.

後谿 (SI3) – The first one is by the pinky on your hand. Make a fist and it’s at the end of the prominent line that sticks out. This is called Small Intestine 3 or SI 3. This points helps to regulate body heat.

合谷 (LI4) – The next one is also on the hand. Skip this point if you are pregnant. Close the thumb and index finger and it’s at the end of the crease. This is called Large Intestine 4 or LI 4. Press it against the index finger bone. This point helps to regulate water and body heat.

復溜 (K7) – The next one is by the ankle. Find the top of the inner ankle bone. Go up three fingers and go towards the Achilles tendon. It’s between the Achilles tendon and the shin bone called Tibia. This is called Kidney 7 or K7 and it helps to regulate water balance including sweating.

You may be having excessive sweating because of nervousness. If that’s the case, press the following points to calm down and relax.

神門 (H7) – Draw a line from the base of the ring finger and pinky finger towards the wrist and it’s where it stops on the wrist crease. It’s right next to the big tendon on the inside. This is called Heart 7 or H7.

老宮 (P8) – Give me thumbs up. The next one is where the middle finger is touching the palm. It’s slightly off towards the thumb from the center of the palm. This is called Pericardium 8 or P8.
