Acupressure for Itchy Eyes

This week I’ll show you some acupressure points for itchy eyes. California had been in severe drought for years but this year it actually rained. As a result, the fields are covered with wildflowers and it’s beautiful but lots of people are suffering from allergies from the pollen. So if you have itchy eyes from the allergy of all kinds – pollen, dust, animals – press these five points around the eyes for one minute as you breathe deeply.

晴明 (UB 1) – The first one is right next to the inner corner of the eye. This is called Urinary Bladder 1 or UB 1. Press these points on both sides with thumb and index finger.

攅竹 (UB 2) – The next one is on the inner tip of the eyebrow. This is called Urinary Bladder 2 or UB 2. Press these points on both sides with your fingertips.

魚腰 – The next one is in the center of the eyebrow. This is not on a major meridian. Press these points on both sides slightly upward with your fingertips.

太陽 – The next one is on the outside of the eye socket between the outer tip of the eyebrow and outer corner of the eye. This is not on a major meridian. Press these points on both sides with your fingertips.

承泣 (ST 1) – The next one is on the lower eye socket right under the pupil of your eye. This is called Stomach 1 or ST 1. You can feel a tiny depression. Press these points slightly downward with your fingertips.

When I say fingertips you can use your index finger, middle finger or either finger supported by other fingers. You don’t need a lot of pressure to press these points because the eye area is very delicate so be gentle.

Thanks for watching. I’ll see you back next week. Make it a great week. Feel free to comment below and please don’t forget to subscribe.
